Pronouns: he/him/his

Lee served as Executive Director of Street Law, Inc. from 2008-2020. He continues to work with Street Law in a consulting capacity.

Lee made Street Law his life’s work. After earning an M. Ed. (University of Massachusetts) and a J.D. (George Washington University Law School), Street Law presented an ideal occupational combination of teaching and law.

Lee came to Street Law in its infancy, helping expand it from a local program in four high schools to a global program active in all 50 U.S. states and more than 40 countries. Among his many important contributions to Street Law are co-authoring Street Law: A Course in Practical Law and United States Government & Civics, and developing our Legal Diversity Pipeline Programs and the Supreme Court Summer Institute for Teachers.

Lee has been an active member and former chair of the citizenship committee of the National Council for the Social Studies. He has been honored with the American Bar Association’s Isidore Starr Award and was an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center.

Lee enjoys spending time with his twin college-age daughters, coaching youth baseball, playing jazz with a trio (his instruments are piano and saxophone), and experimenting in the kitchen.
