This is a list of other organizations working to promote democracy, human rights and social justice throughout the world.

Amnesty International. Amnesty International is a worldwide campaigning movement that works to promote all the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international standards.

Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. Link to South Africa Street Law program, a national democracy, human rights and legal education program aimed at promoting and nurturing a culture of democracy and human rights in South Africa.

CIVNET is an international, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting civic education and civic society worldwide. Site contains sample lessons, resources and links to other civic education organizations.

Global Peace Foundationis an NGO whose main aim is to elaborate and realize sustainable co-operation and development programs in the field of education and arbitration in regions of conflict.

Global Youth Connect. Global Youth Connect (GYC)'s mission is to help create a global culture of caring and compassion by supporting the development of youth leadership and action for human rights and social transformation.

The University of California, Berkeley offers a collection of working syllabi from human rights courses currently or recently taught at colleges and universities in the US. Universities outside the US who lack resources for creating courses in human rights may find this useful. Includes bibliographies, course structure, and course outlines.

Human Rights Education Associates site is an on-line repository of human rights education and training materials, provides listing of training courses and databases.

Human Rights Internet. The human rights internet contains a fountain of information ranging from summer educational opportunities on human rights to journals and publications. Includes materials on women's human rights.

Human Rights Watch. Human Rights Watch is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world.

Lawyer's Committee for Human Rights. An international organization of lawyers working to protect individuals from human rights abuses, and to support other lawyers doing such work.

Open Society Institute promotes the development and maintenance of open societies around the world by supporting an array of programs dealing with educational, social, and legal reform.

The Peoples Decade of Human Rights education is a site dedicated to human rights learning for social and economic changes as well as educating on governmental rights and responsibilities regarding human rights.

University of Minnesota Human Rights Center. One of the world's largest and most comprehensive resources for materials on human rights and human rights education.
