Street Law for Youth in Transition helps professionals in foster care, transitional and independent living programs, and other social service providers to create practical legal education programs for vulnerable youth. 

The lessons address the following topics:

  • Finding housing
  • Understanding rights and responsibilities of employment
  • Accessing social services
  • Education and health law
  • Consumer laws and protections
  • Avoiding child abuse and neglect 
  • Understanding the foster care system and legal issues related to closing cases
