October 3, 2009 The winning lesson plan comes from Rob Weaver, a second-year law student at the University of Miami law school. Rob’s lesson plan focuses on the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, teaching students about the Supreme Court’s precedents and the tests the Court has developed for deciding Establishment Clause cases. Students then argue both sides of a fictional Establishment Clause case. Read more

July 8, 2008 Megan Lawlor is a social studies teacher and director of the law academy at Hirsch High School on the south side of Chicago. On June 19, 2008, she also became the 1,000th teacher to participate in the Supreme Court Institutes and Seminars for Teachers. Read more
