The program’s goal is simple: to teach fifth and sixth graders about the law by connecting them with the wisdom and experience of Legends — local leaders from law-related professions who have contributed positively to their communities
In a series of classroom visits, volunteer Legends, as well as attorneys and paralegals, teach students about the law and share their experiences over breakfast.
Street Law’s Breakfast with a Legend™ program began in 2007, and was piloted for two years in Washington, DC. More than 500 children have participated in the Legends program in DC since its inception.
