by
October 10, 2001 | Washington, DC
Street Law, Inc, a national leader in law-related education, was recently endorsed by the National School Boards Association at the annual Board of Directors meeting in September 2001.
Street Law has developed civic and law-related curricula for more than 25 years, teaching young people the practical implications of law in their lives and the importance of civic participation. The NSBA endorsement recognizes the high quality and importance of Street Law’s school programs.
“Street Law’s Supreme Court Summer Institute is a wonderful opportunity for teachers to learn about our nation’s highest court from first hand experience. It is the only program I have seen where teachers actually get to see the Court at work, meet with the justices and talk to the attorneys involved”, said Julie Underwood, General Counsel of NSBA.
The National School Boards Association is the nationwide advocacy and outreach organization for public school governance. NSBA's mission is to foster excellence and equity in public elementary and secondary education in the United States through school board leadership. For more information, visit the NSBA web site at www.nsba.org.
