Street Law / Newsroom / 2008 Awards Dinner
by Allison Hawkins
November 1, 2007 | Washington DC
The 2008 Awards Dinner will take place on April 17, 2008, at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC. This annual affair brings together an outstanding group of leaders from the fields of law, education, business, and civic affairs for an elegant evening honoring those who have contributed greatly to Street Law’s mission.
During the dinner program, Street Law will present its highest honor—The Chesterfield Smith Award— to someone whose contributions have made a significant impact on the teaching of law, democracy, and human rights. Previous recipients of this award include The Honorable Sandra Day O’Connor, Mrs. Cecilia Marshall (wife of the late Thurgood Marshall), and The Honorable Janet Reno.
Being honored with Street Law’s Corporate Legal Diversity Pipeline Award are the legal departments of Marriott International and Marriott Vacation Club International for their continued success and participation in the Corporate Legal Diversity Pipeline Program.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2008 event. For more information, please visit the Awards Dinner web pages at www.streetlaw.org/awardsdinner. Last year’s event was sold out, so reserve your spot today!
