Street Law / Newsroom / Pipeline Profile: Central Pennsylvania ACC Chapter
by
September 7, 2009 | Hershey, PA
Now in their sixth year of participation in the Corporate Legal Diversity Pipeline Program, the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the ACC has a lot to celebrate. Through their unique programming, spread throughout the central Pennsylvania cities of Hershey, York, and Harrisburg, hundreds of students have learned about different aspects of the law and have also participated in the High School Mock Trial competition events, visited regional county courthouses, taken tours of Widener University Law School and local law firms, and had many other law-related educational experiences. Their success shines through in the accomplishments of the students involved in their programs:
In order to pay for these experiences and fund scholarships, the Chapter established the Pathways to Success program, which is administered under the auspices of the Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC). Tax-deductible contributions are used to fund the program. The primary fundraiser is a golf and spa event held at the Hershey Country Club and Chocolate Spa at the Hotel Hershey.
