Street Law, Inc. and the Supreme Court Historical Society are excited to announce the dates of the 2009 Supreme Court Seminar for Atlanta Teachers — November 9 & 10, 2009, and January 22, 2010.
This professional development opportunity for Atlanta area teachers is modeled on the highly successful Supreme Court Summer Institute for Teachers and is designed to expand and strengthen instruction about the history, operation, and cases of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Street Law, Inc.'s Supreme Court programs have trained over 1,000 teachers from 49 states and the District of Columbia since they began in 1994.
Acceptance is based on a competitive application process and all Atlanta area high school law/social studies teachers are eligible to apply. The application deadline is October 4, 2009, and all sessions will be held at the Atlanta office of King & Spalding LLP.
Substitute pay is available for all participating teachers, and Street Law, Inc. has collaborated with NCSS to offer all participants a discounted registration rate to the NCSS annual meeting taking place November 13-15, 2009.
