The Algerian Association for Human Rights conducted workshops using the Islam and Democracy: Toward Effective Citizenship text. The workshops trained judges, lawyers, students, secondary school teachers, government employees, female syndicate members, youth trainers, and civil rights activists in Sidi Bel Abbes, Jijel, Constantine, Khenchela, Biskra, and Bordj Bou Arreridj.
The Oran Women’s Club is an Algerian association that brings together women from different political ideologies to foster more women participation in politics and the labor force. The association used the text Islam and Democracy: Toward Effective Citizenship to conduct democracy education workshops in Oran, Algeria.
