Deborah has been with Street Law since 1997.  She directs the organization's D.C. area initiatives and implements juvenile justice, youth leadership, and legal diversity programs in the District of Columbia and surrounding counties.  Over the years, Deborah has explanded local programs into national and international settings; she took Save Our Streets into Connecticut and implemented Youth Act!® programs in the United Kingdom.  She also leads Street Law's efforts to educate youth about intellectual property.

Educating to Protect Intellectual Property

Street Law's intellectual property initiative educates young people about the role and importance of intellectual property in our society and the laws and policies in place to protect both the property and the citizens who use it. Read more

Juvenile Justice

Street Law's juvenile justice program provides practical assistance to people teaching about law and public policy to students in the juvenile justice system. The manual is also a valuable supplement to existing law-related education, citizenship, or civics programs. Read more

Save Our Streets

Save Our Streets is an education program for 13-17 year olds charged with weapons offenses.  The program focuses on addressing public policy issues involving juvenile weapon possession and explores the workings of the juvenile justice system. Read more
