It was an honor to … serve such lovely young men and women and encourage them to be our legends of tomorrow.
As I have said before, the students are just great and for me the program is both inspiring and informing and I hope it is for the students as well.
One of the greatest benefits of the program is watching the children’s faces as they absorb every bit of information conveyed to them by the volunteers and legends. They demonstrate such energy and enthusiasm when their “new friends” visit. There is so much learning taking place and not just by the children. It’s great fun.
Thanks a million for your outstanding work in securing the Legends for our 5th Grade classes. I believe it was an invaluable experience these students would not have had otherwise.
It was wonderful to see all of my students engaged in conversation with public figures from our city. It was clear that the students enjoyed hearing from their legend and felt heard by [Chief Lanier] as well.
