Founded in 1996, SIEDO (Independent Society for Education and Human Rights) promotes the principles stipulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and supports democratic reforms through education.  SIEDO joined the Open Society Institute/Street Law Network Program in 1998, and produced some of the initiative’s most successful student and teacher texts that were approved by the Ministry of Education for all Moldova schools and are still in use today.
