The law school-based Street Law program at Kazak State University was one of the most successful clinics developed under the Open Society Institute/Street Law Network Program from 1998–2003.  Third year students participating in the clinic taught Street Law lessons in local schools using law and human rights books adapted and developed by the project.  The Kazak State University law school program initiated more than ten other programs across the country.

The Internet Training Center was the partner for DEEP and was an early venture into using the internet for civic education programs.
