Application Details and Eligibility

• 24 Atlanta area high school law/social studies teachers will be accepted
• Admission is based on a competitive application process
• Applicants must commit to attend all sessions and teach two lessons from the seminar to their students between the November and January meetings
• Teachers who have already attended the Supreme Court Summer Institute for Teachers are not eligible for this program

Application Instructions

1. Complete and submit the online application form by October 4, 2009.  If you have any questions or problems submitting the application, please contact Amaly Snowdon at 240.821.1324 or .
2. Submit to Street Law, Inc. a letter of recommendation from your principal or supervisor by October 4, 2009.  The letter should include your school's agreement to release you from your classroom duties to attend the entire Seminar.  Recommendation letters should be e-mailed, faxed, or mailed to:

3. All applicants will be notified of their status no later than October 8, 2009.  Please do not attempt to pay your registration fee or make other arrangements until you are notified of your acceptance.

Registration Fee

$50 registration fee includes three breakfasts, three lunches, all breaks, and materials.  Reimbursement for substitutes is available.  Substitute reimbursement is available for teachers accepted into the program.
