Do you know what to do if you get sued? How to get a lawyer? How to protect your rights?
Washington high school students are learning these lessons in a course dubbed "Street Law," which culminates in a citywide mock trial at the Superior Court in April.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the program. Georgetown University law students teach the classes in public high schools, giving students an introduction to laws they can use "on the street."
