The Curriculum
Community Works provides a practical understanding of crime and crime prevention that young people find useful in their everyday lives. It is the ideal companion to youth and violence prevention programming because it strives to:
- Teach teens to be resources for each other and to interact positively with community members
- Develop communication and problem-solving skills
- Strengthen young people's awareness of their community's resources
- Encourage youth to focus on their leadership role in the community
Anyone who has an interest in developing leadership skills in young people and helping them take an active role in their communities can benefit from Community Works. The program/curriculum has been successfully implemented by:

Community Works can be implemented in a variety of settings. Examples include:

Training and Professional Development
Street Law can design custom training and provide technical assistance in implementing the Community Works curriculum to teachers and educators, juvenile justice professionals, police officers, health and social service professionals, and NGO leaders and staff who are interested in creating law-related violence and crime prevention programming.
