For over three decades, Street Law, Inc. has been headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area. Though its programs span the globe, Street Law recognizes the importance of making the District of Columbia and its surrounding counties* a priority area and makes an extra effort to implement quality programs and provide resources to educators in its backyard.
*This includes the Maryland counties of Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Howard, Montgomery, and Prince George’s and the Virginia counties of Fairfax, Loudon, and Prince William.

Each April, Street Law, Inc. holds its Annual Awards Dinner in Washington, DC. The event brings together an outstanding group of leaders from the fields of law, education, business, and civic affairs for an elegant evening honoring those who have contributed greatly to the educational mission of Street Law. Breakfast with a Legend™ program
Street Law s Breakfast with a Legend program is a rewarding way for legal organizations of all sizes to give back to their communities by empowering young people through law-related education. In a series of classroom visits, participating attorneys, paralegals, and Legends local leaders from law-related professions who have contributed positively to their communities teach fifth and sixth graders about rules and law and share their life s experiences and connections to the students communities over breakfast. Corporate Legal Diversity Pipeline Program
The Corporate Legal Diversity Pipeline Program partners corporate legal departments with nearby, diverse high school law classes in an effort to engage the students, teach them more about civil law, and encourage them to consider careers in the legal profession. Law Firm Diversity Pipeline Program
A partnership between Street Law and NALP - the Association for Legal Career Professionals, this program partners law firms with diverse groups of high school students. The goal is to teach the students about the law and legal careers, encourage them to pursue legal careers, and offer support in that pursuit. Save Our Streets
Save Our Streets is an education program for 13-17 year olds charged with weapons offenses. The program focuses on addressing public policy issues involving juvenile weapon possession and explores the workings of the juvenile justice system.

Supreme Court Summer Institute for Teachers
Since it began in 1995, the Supreme Court Summer Institute for Teachers has brought together over 800 teachers from across the country to convene in Washington, D.C., for six days of educational activities related to teaching about the U.S. Supreme Court. The Institute is co-sponsored by the Supreme Court Historical Society.
